CURRENT PROJECTS

INVERSIONS– A new solo dance theatre work with music. This work will have a dual focus: exploring the space where pedestrian movement becomes dance, and the anchoring device of songs and music written by gay composers. Thematically, the work will focus on aspects of gay history – these vignettes will be constructed in an episodic manner. This work is in development as a 2023 Baryshnikov Arts Fellows at Kaatsbaan.

A FRIEND GAVE ME A BOOK
An graphic memoir that is based on a catastrophic trapeze accident and its aftermath, including a fantasy leitmotif that brings to life the paintings of Caravaggio. This body of work was created as both a book for publication (362 pages), and as an exhibition (164 10”x20’ diptychs and 2 10”x30” triptychs, completely hand-drawn, mixed media on paper, wood, linen and canvas).

DIARY OF A SOMNAMBULIST
An unedited film – version of the 1986 award winning performance work for 2 performers inspired by the 1919 German Expressionist film The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. Unedited 1986 super 8mm film footage will be digitized and edited into a cinematic version of the original.
